I’ve always been drawn to storytelling — to the ways people make sense of the world through narratives, relationships and everyday interactions.

As, a Ph.D. student at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, I’m interested in studying how communication, leadership and organizational culture influence whether employees feel safe sharing parts of themselves that aren’t immediately visible. In particular, I focus on the overlooked signals that communicate support (or the lack of it) and how they shape decisions around invisible disability disclosure.
